This social cause campaign and brand creation is called Waste Not. The purpose of the project is to inspire those that see it to take time out of their day to think about the impact they make on the world. Some of the research for this project included “The average person produces about 4.4 pounds per day, and most of it is comprised of recyclable items.”“Peak garbage is still a century away. First, the amount of solid waste generated globally will practically double by the year 2025, up from 3.5 million tons per day to 6 million tons per day, before leveling off sometime after the year 2100.” “Research suggests that engagement in environmentally-friendly behavior can feel good.” If this campaign encourages people to look at the waste they produce then it is achieving what it was created to do. The most important outcomes of this project will be to inspire people to recycle and live more sustainably and see the importance in buying more sustainable and ethical products as well as having the patience and motivation to recycle.
